A Health Service Residence (Residenza Sanitaria Assistenziale, or RSA) has been created within the Institution in order to allow Guests resident in the hotel structure who have lost their self-sufficiency to remain in the Rest Home itself, and aspiring non-resident Guests to make use of it.

The RSA is meant for those Guests who can no longer live in the hotel structure or in their own homes. This transition is arranged by the Geriatric Evaluation Unit, by agreement with the Guests themselves (psycho-physical conditions permitting) and with their family members, on a first-come-first-served basis. This principle can be dispensed with only when special social or health reasons exist, as identified by the Geriatric Evaluation Unit.

The Social Service Worker looks after carrying out the procedures dealing with acceptance, explaining to the Guest and his/her family members how the structure functions, introducing the personnel who work there, and giving them an evaluating questionnaire that is distributed once a year.
